Seattle Center

November 19, 2006

The 5th Annual 97.3 KBSG Toys for Tots Trot takes place November 19th, 2006, starting at the Seattle Center. The goal of this event is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. The Greater Puget Sound Toys for Tots was established in 1964 and covers children in Western Washington. On average, over 100,000 toys are collected and distributed in the Puget Sound region, touching over 50,000 needy children each year.

The race starts at 9 am inside Memorial Stadium at the Seattle Center. The race is a 5k (3.1 miles) and includes a costume contest and Toddler Trot. Trophies will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place; 5k male and female finishers, and awards for the most creative costumes.
